NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION
New Member Orientation is now scheduled for March 12th from 6 to 8:00 p.m. in
the League Office – and building! Last year’s was so successful that this year we have
obtained permission to use more space in our building when a ba-jillion people show up!
And they might, because you are all invited, of course! Information, networking opportunities,
and refreshments will abound….

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE GETS AMBITIOUS
The Membership Committee is pleased to announce its goals for
the year, which will instruct all our pending efforts and plans:
- More aggressive recruitment, with an emphasis on diversity. (And this means more than you might think, including reaching out to under-represented areas of Pierce County!)
- Involving/matching members to issues and/or mentoring members.
- Retaining members. We need to keep you, as well as find new members!
Our primary objectives for the year?
- Increase League visibility and enhance its reputation; and
- Build membership to 150-plus by June 30th.
Terri Baker, Ruth Ann Hatchett, Mark San Souci, and Michelle Pizzo are your current and energetic
Membership Committee. Please contact us with any great ideas, forums at which to seek members/
increase visibility, or with names of prospective members.
Per usual, President Lyz is a de facto and involved committee-member, and partners-in-crime-and-time are Charlotte Valbert, Jean Buhaly, Louise Bollman, Machie Madden, and Sue Summers. Thanks to all for their commitment. We look forward to an exciting year – watch for a big announcement next month!
